After falling in love with Central Otago on a brief visit to the area in 2009, we bought the Old P.O. Backpackers and moved to Ranfurly in April 2010.
Both originally from Wellington, where Bill owned a small commercial laundry and Suzy drove a desk, we now enjoy a quieter, sunnier and less windy life here in the beautiful Maniototo.
Both of us travelled extensively in our younger days, visiting exotic and traditional destinations. We enjoy hosting visitors from overseas and hearing about their adventures. Suzy speaks a bit of Dutch picked up while living in the Netherlands.
Like us, you´ll be surprised at just how much there is to do in and around Ranfurly so make sure your itinerary allows enough time to enjoy it all by making us a destination not just a stopover.
